Terms of Service

The terms for using Arcane accounts and hosted services, provided by Code Magician LLC.

Effective October 23, 2026 · Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms govern your use of Arcane’s accounts and hosted services, provided by Code Magician LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using an Arcane account, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. What these terms cover

  • Accounts and hosted services: signing in, entitlements, the project view in the Spelloscope app, messages and approvals, and the hosted services behind them.
  • Not covered: the arcane-cli tool and other open-source code we publish. They are licensed under their own licenses (the CLI is MIT-licensed) and work without an account. Using them signed out is governed by that license, not by these terms.

2. Your account

  • Today, accounts are created by invitation, from us or from a project owner; we will open sign-up when paid plans launch. You must be 18 or older.
  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it was used without permission.
  • One person per account. Do not share it.

3. What you may do

You may use Arcane for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You may not:

  • break the law, or use Arcane to infringe anyone’s rights;
  • send content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, or malicious, or that you do not have the right to send;
  • probe, attack, overload, or try to get around the security or access limits of Arcane, or access another person’s project or data;
  • reverse engineer or tamper with entitlement tokens, or use a capability your account is not entitled to.

4. Projects, messages and approvals

If a project owner invites you to a project, they and we can see the messages you send and the approvals you make there. An approval records your decision about a change; both sides may rely on it. You are responsible for what you send. We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these terms or the law.

5. Paid features and entitlements

Paid features are unlocked by an entitlement (a record of what your account may use). Your tool receives a digitally signed token that proves it. A token works offline for a limited grace period (currently 30 days). If your entitlement ends, or the token expires and cannot be refreshed, paid features stop and the tool keeps working as the free version.

Paid plans are not available yet, and no payment is taken through Arcane. When they launch, we will add pricing, billing, renewal, refund and tax terms here, and our payment provider will be the seller of record, with its own terms applying to the purchase.

6. Our content and yours

  • Arcane and its hosted services belong to us and our licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal right to use them, not ownership.
  • You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us the permission needed to host, display and transmit it to run Arcane for you and the people you are working with.
  • If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

7. Availability and changes

Arcane is under active development. We aim to keep it available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, add, or retire features. For a feature you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice before we remove it.

8. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us; the Spelloscope app will also offer it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service, with notice where practical. What happens to your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Arcane is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Arcane will be error-free or secure, or that AI-generated output is correct. You are responsible for reviewing it before you rely on it.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Arcane is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email before it applies. Continuing to use Arcane after the effective date means you accept the update.
